So I recently discovered the well-kept secret that is TRAX...I have to admit that my opinion of UTA was rather tainted because I once got grounded from my car in high school and had to ride the bus to work for an entire quarter, so ever since then, I haven't held public transportation in the highest esteem. However, I recently found this new, fun alternative to getting around. We first ventured out downtown a few weeks ago (see pics below) and then again on Friday to meet Neal for lunch at the Gateway. We had a grand ol' time and I hope to do it many more times. It was also a spectacular way to introduce my kids to the more "colorful" folks who decorate our society! Look at that face!!! WHO couldn't LOVE it?!?!
Auhhhhh, the joys of $2 icee's eh?
People always ask me if I planned on having my kids so close together. After giving them a look that says "are you freakin kidding me?" I patiently answer, that no, I am not THAT stupid NOR was I drunk at the time. However, I now can truly say that I am SO glad that they are close. They are (usually) the best of friends and have so much fun together...
This kid is always happy...he really is-he's just a really pleasant, happy person to be around...love him...

Lazy Dog Days of Summer
So yesterday we went to Riverton City Park with our good friends the Gees. It was a really fun. I love that the weather is a good ten degrees cooler then it has been. Those that know me know that I have a bit of a- shall we say-sensitivity to the "elements" meaning I really dislike being uncomfortable. How pathetic I know and why do I live here of all places with such extreme weather on both sides of the spectrum?
Gage is a little monkey, the kid can climb anything-and I mean anything. He's been scaling the fridge since he was a baby!
I love that Boe does everthing with a gusto that's hard to come by these days!
If ever I think of Boe, I picture him with food in his mouth! That's just the way it is, and of course, he couldn't just eat one grape, he had to eat seven...

A trip to the Zoo costs HOW MUCH???
So we decided to go to the Zoo on Saturday, the kids REALLY wanted Neal to come with us to see the ellusive white alligator...it was really fun but I have to ask the question...when did a trip to Hogle Zoo get so dang expensive? It cost us $60-which I think is a bit pricey for a day at the Zoo...oh well, the kids had fun and so did we. Gage practiced taking some pictures with the digital camera and LOVED it, he is pretty good I must say, and as for the Ghost of the Bayou? Well, I am glad to say, he didn't disappoint...

Springs
This is us-The Gatherum Family-A little bit kooky and dysfunctional, but us just the same!!! "We" consists of me; Adrian, my husband Neal, Gage who will be five in October and Boe who turned three in June. We recently moved to Riverton and we LOVE it here. We have the best neighborhood and have made some really great friends so far.
I teach violin lessons at my house three days a week and I really enjoy it. It enables me to use my degree and talents, bring in some extra money and avoid leaving my kids-all at the same time.
I thought I'd post some pictures of us-don't worry it is 9:30 a.m. and I've been trying to figure it out for an hour and a half, but I think I've finally got it! Enjoy!
So, here we are, like I said, a bit crazy and dysfunctional and now joining the blogging world-I thought it'd be a great way to stay in touch with family and friends and possibly reconnect with people I haven't seen in a while...
